    Salaam Alaikum:
This is a comment on you entire blog. An old Sufi tradition advises us to speak only after our words have managed to pass through four gates. At the first gate, we ask ourselves, "Are these words true?" If so, we let them pass on; if not, back they go. At the second gate we ask; "Are they necessary?" At the third gate we ask; "Are they beneficial?" and at the fourth gate, we ask, "Are they kind?" If the answer to any of these is no, then what you are about to say should be left unsaid.
You have lived up to these wise words on your blog. May Allah bless you and the work you do.

    Ya Haqq!

Masha'Allah, Allah truly honoured you by allowing you to be present at the gathering. May He Most High continue to bless you in abundance. Amin.

Jazak Allah khayr for your kind words and that beautiful Sufi tradition that is oft-forgotten in our times. May Allah protect and guide us. Amin.

Thank you both for dropping by my blog and leaving some words, it's always nice to hear from readers.

    Wassalam,
    Salikah

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "The best speech is the Book of Allah and the best guidance and example is that of Muhammad (Peace be upon him). And the worst of all things are the newly invented things (in religion), for every innovation is error and misguidance." [Reported by Muslim] and in another narration, "every newly invented matter (in religion) is a bid'ah and every bid'ah is a dalaalah (going astray) and every dalaalah is in the Fire." [Reported by At-Tirmithee and it is saheeh].

In another warning the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "Whoever introduces into this affair of ours something that we have not commanded it is to be rejected." [Reported by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "He among you who witnesses an evil, let him change it with his hand, if he cannot do that, then by his tongue, if he cannot do even that, then with his heart, and this is the weakest faith." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'lla) said: "It is not for a believer, male or female, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have an option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in plain error." [Qur'aan, Al-Ahzaab, 33:36]

I adhere to the teachings of traditional Islam, as practiced by the Muslims since the time of the Rasul (Allah bless him and give him peace)...
