The Traveller's Souk - Shaykh Hamza's Book List

Surfing the web I came across
The Traveller's Souk and to my delight, found a post with a list of books Shaykh Hamza Yusuf has either recommended or mentioned in his talks. My eyes watered up! - I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but it's such a pleasant surprise to have it done for you!

Barak Allahu fi kum to the brother that compiled the list and to The Traveller whose blog I found it through.

Out on Amazon.com, Munawar Ali has compiled four "So You'd Like to..." lists that list all of the books listed by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf. I don't know if it's more or less detailed than the one on the blog, but I thought you and your readers might be interested. Here are the links to the lists on Amazon.com, insha'llah they'll work:

    List 1

    List 2

    List 3

    List 4

    Enjoy...

  2. Jazak Allah khayr, Sidi.

Solid book lists -- especially those of Shaykh Hamza, are much, much appreciated.

    as-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah,

I just received an e-mail saying that the new and improved Amal Press website is now up. I noticed that they have three reading lists (Adobe Acrobat format) that look very useful. I like reading lists as well, since if I'm going to spend some precious time reading on a subject, I always like to know that I'm reading one of the best books on that subject. Just wanted to let you know about the lists...

    Wasalam,

  4. Wa'alaykum Assalam wa Rahmatullah Sidi,

Barak Allahu fi kum. These are excellent! There's one for Muslim teachers which really interests me as an educator. As you said, if one is going to spend time reading a book, it's good to know who has recommended it.

    Wassalam,
    Salikah
